Finding Meaning in Travel: My Journey to Project Free Soul

My name is Akhil Rajan. I come from a background in hospitality and tourism, where I spent years working in the industry and building what many would consider a stable career.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I felt disconnected from the life I was living. I wasn’t searching for comfort anymore, I was searching for meaning, movement, and something that felt real.

That journey led me to create Project Free Soul.

What started as a personal escape slowly became a deeper exploration of travel, identity, uncertainty, and freedom. Through writing, storytelling, and experiences from the road, I want to document not just places, but the emotions and transformations that come with leaving behind what feels familiar.

Project Free Soul is for people who feel held back by money, fear, expectations, or life itself a reminder that the world is still theirs to see.

This is not about perfect travel.
It is about movement, discovery, and the courage to begin.
